Fukushima Game Jam 8-10 March 2019

We invite students, artists, designers, stalkers to a 48-hour game making challenge.

On the 11th March 2011 a tsunami caused a nuclear accident at the Fukushima Daiichi power plant in Japan. In 2015, a group of artists installed artworks in the exclusion zone as part of the exhibition Don’t Follow the Wind. New York-based artists Eva and Franco Mattes took a series of photos from the radioactive area. Photos have been turned into a texture pack to be used in video games and 3D environments. On 8th March 2019, the textures will be used as part of a game jam at University of Lincoln, UK.

Start: 8th March at 6pm
End: 10th March 6pm
Room: INB1102

No game design or programming skills required!
